Claremont Colleges Emergency Medical Service Club (CCEMS) used Laspa’s Community Action Grant to fund a spring to summer mask-making project. We wanted to find the best way to support our first responders and caretakers while also ensuring the safety of our families by maintaining social distancing measures.

Sewing masks allowed us to make a small but impactful difference on healthcare providers and members in our local communities. Several methods have been used to make these quality reusable masks, including no-sew, hand-sew, and sewing machine options.

Mask makers distributed their products either through the mail or delivered directly in amounts depending on each facility’s expressed need.
