The Scripps Professionals Network, founded in October 2013 by five student leaders, is an on-campus association that engages and supports aspiring professionals through career development, networking, and social opportunities.

The Network currently consists of the following branch organizations:

• Innovate @ Scripps (formerly the Scripps Entrepreneurship Club),
• Scripps Women in Finance and Consulting,
• [CodeLiteracy]@Scripps, and
• Scripps College Law Society

New Innovate, FAC, [CodeLiteracy], and Law Society members will be welcomed with open arms. The groups have different foci but are highly collaborative. We co-host events not only with each other but also with the lovely ladies at Career Planning & Resources. Although we emphasize the professional fields of entrepreneurship, technology, finance, and consulting, we hope to provide professionally minded social and educational opportunities to–and advocate for–Scripps students of all aspirations.

Events
Throughout the year, the groups host numerous events, including but not limited to:

• 5C Weekly Workspace-For aspiring 5C entrepreneurs to meet and work on their respective ideas. The idea behind having an hour a week where you are surrounded by other entrepreneurs is that, with tons of intelligent people around you, you will be able to work together to better your ideas, find co-founders, and generally network.
• Skills-building workshops on LinkedIn, interviewing, and other topics of your choice.
• Lunch and coffee chats with experienced upperclassmen and alumnae

Each of these groups are just getting their feet on the ground, and in order to hit the ground running, we would love to have more Scripps students involved in founding, fundraising, marketing, etc. Suggestions for future events are always welcome. We would also appreciate any and all donations to bring speakers to campus and subsidize student transportation to industry-related events and conferences, like TechSparks mixers and the Innovate Summit in Pasadena, CA.
