Towse is a Professor in the <a title=\"Scripps Math\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scrippscollege.edu\/academics\/department\/mathematics\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mathematics Department<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scrippscollege.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scripps College<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He was appointed to the inaugural Herron Family Endowed Chair of Mathematics in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>He was the Director of the Claremont Colleges Mathematics <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/crssprgm\/reu\/list_result.jsp?unitid=5044&amp;d-49653-p=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REU<\/a> Site in <a href=\"http:\/\/ccms.claremont.edu\/REU2009\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2009<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ccms.claremont.edu\/REU2010\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2010<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ccms.claremont.edu\/REU2011\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2011<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He was the Director of the Fletcher Jones Summer Math Fellowship program in <a href=\"http:\/\/ccms.claremont.edu\/Fletcher-Jones-Fellowships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2012<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About Me Christopher W.
