\n<\/span><\/strong>Participants will check in and attend an opening session with CP&R.<\/em>

\n<\/strong>Monday January 9: Self Assessment
\n<\/strong><\/span>Knowing yourself is the first step to clarifying where you’d thrive. Discover\u00a0how\u00a0your unique strengths, temperament, preferences, and leadership style impact not only what you want to do but how you\u00a0engage in\u00a0the career development process.\u00a0Participants will receive free Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and StrengthsFinder assessments and\u00a0identify their personal leadership style.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Tuesday January 10: Career Assessment<\/span>
\n<\/strong>CP&R is committed to helping students chart their own unique path to post-graduate success. We believe this is different for each individual. During Day 2\u00a0your guides will provide tools to help you uncover your interests, pay attention to\u00a0themes and skills that have already emerged through your life, and assist you in crafting your career narrative.
\nParticipants will receive free Strong Interest Inventory, MyCareerStory, and Values exploration assessments and participate in\u00a0a formal networking luncheon with a select group of employers.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Wednesday January 11: Personal Branding<\/span>
\n<\/strong>Once you know\u00a0where you stand (Day 1 – Self Assessment) and have\u00a0(some) ideas about\u00a0the direction you (might) want to head (Day 2 – Career Assessment), start getting there. \u00a0In Day 3, we’ll focus on how to\u00a0articulate your goals, identify your network, and what it means to develop your personal\u00a0brand.\u00a0<\/strong>You’ll get personalized coaching and practice with your elevator\u00a0pitch,\u00a0create\u00a0a LinkedIn profile you can be proud of, and learn\u00a0what it means to do\u00a0industry and organizational research.\u00a0\u00a0
\n<\/strong>Participants will create a LinkedIn Profile, learn how to leverage the Scripps Network through a panel of recent graduates, and receive personalized coaching on their elevator\u00a0pitch. <\/em><\/p>\n

Thursday January 12:\u00a0Practice with Professionals <\/strong><\/span>
\nOn Day 4\u00a0you’ll put your\u00a0new knowledge to the test in an accelerated job application lab and enjoy a networking luncheon with professionals who regularly hire interns and employees.\u00a0You’ll engage in speed interviewing\u00a0and gain\u00a0real time feedback on common interview questions, learn how to benchmark your personal finance needs, and how (and why you need to) negotiate your salary. We’ll walk you through the process from beginning to end, so you’ll know what to expect when you’re conducting your own job search.
\nParticipants will participate in\u00a0individual\u00a0and group mock interviews, practice with\u00a0and get feedback from professionals who make\u00a0hiring decisions and gain experience networking. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Friday January 13:<\/strong> Creating Your Professional Presence<\/strong><\/span>
\nLanding your hypothetical dream job is\u00a0just the beginning. On Day 5\u00a0you’ll learn what it means to develop your professional presence and continue your personal growth. Learn from a panel of professionals how to navigate office politics, track personal accomplishments, and articulate your personal value-add.
\nParticipants\u00a0will present their\u00a0personal\u00a0brand to a small group of prestigious\u00a0employers and continue writing their career narrative\u00a0in focused roundtable conversations.<\/em><\/p>\n
