This year was particularly full of silly tricks.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most popular was the Google Maps Pok\u00e9mon Challenge. Using an iOS or Android smartphone, users could go on a global scavenger hunt to &#8216;capture&#8217; the characters from the popular video game and television franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Google&#8217;s email service, Gmail, also announced the fake <a href=\"http:\/\/gmailblog.blogspot.com\/2014\/03\/introducing-gmail-shelfie.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+OfficialGmailBlog+(Gmail+Blog)\" target=\"_blank\">&#8216;Shelfie&#8217; service<\/a> (shareable selfie) where you can set pictures of yourself as the background to your emails.<\/p>\n<p>Google Japan announced a new imaginary product, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0u1zoaJYAmw&amp;feature=player_embedded\" target=\"_blank\">the &#8216;Magic Hand&#8217;<\/a>, that would allow users to program mechanical appendages to operate your smart device.<\/p>\n<p>With Google&#8217;s many companies and sections, there are numerous other pranks to discover.
