Student can drop in for <a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/tutoring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tutoring<\/a>\u00a0with the MRLC\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/mlrc-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Language Consultants<\/a>, watch\u00a0a film from the Center&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/film-library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">film library<\/a>, or just use the space for quiet study.<\/p>\n<p>Students not enrolled in a language course are welcome to use the resources of the MLRC for independent study and cultural enrichment.\u00a0While the center is designed primarily for individual student use, instructors and conversation group leaders may reserve the space\u00a0as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/3EGv3QLR9H72\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scripps Humanities Building<\/a>, Room 122<\/p>\n<p>View our <a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/hours-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hours<\/a> to see\u00a0when we&#8217;re open this semester. And remember to check out the various language resources for <a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/online-resource\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">students<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/for-faculty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">faculty<\/a> that the Center has compiled for language study!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Computer Programs and Software<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThe center is equipped with 4 computers, 3 PCs and 1 Mac with large screen monitors. We have software for language practice (including speech-recognition technology) for French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Arabic. Audacity is installed for making voice recordings for speaking assignments and practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Viewing DVDs and Videos from <a href=\"https:\/\/community.scrippscollege.edu\/mlrc\/film-library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Film Library<\/a><\/strong>:<br \/>\nIn addition to the computers and standard DVD players, there are 2 stations equipped\u00a0 for viewing PAL, Region 2, DVDs from Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Smart TV<br \/>\n<\/strong>The MLRC is now equipped with a 50&#8243; flatscreen smart TV with access to Netflix.
