Because every time we watch a movie,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you think we already watched it years ago,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

even though it just came out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because you knitted 30 washcloths\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

when I was away studying in the U.S.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

to keep your sanity. Because you probably\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

sewed at least ten different things for everybody\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in the neighborhood. Because you saved\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the phone number of that man who called us\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

pretending to be from the bank\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in our phonebook as \u201cswindler.\u201d Then, when\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

somebody else tried the same trick again,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you changed it to \u201cswindler 1\u201d and\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

added \u201cswindler 2.\u201d Because you\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

make up recipes, and they always taste good.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because you told me you tried to start the car\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

by pushing the steering wheel\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in your driver\u2019s license exam,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and when the instructor promised\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

he would keep this between you and him,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you asked why because you thought\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

it was the perfect story to tell.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because when I laugh at my own jokes,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you laugh at my laughing voice,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and it makes me laugh more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And one night five winters ago,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

when the school bus dropped me off\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

at some random bus stop and I waited\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

for you to pick me up,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you emerged with a cup of tea\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

from <\/span>Karaf\u0131r\u0131n<\/span><\/i> in your hand,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

because you thought it would\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

warm me up, and it was\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
