GroupWise: Syncing GroupWise to Smart Device

Interested in accessing GroupWise from your smart device? While connecting to GroupWise on your email application may sound intimidating, it really just requires two steps:

  1. Connecting to the Claremont-WPA wireless
  2. Setting up GroupWise email using IMAP

Part One: Connecting to the Claremont-WPA wireless:

  1. Activate wireless on your device -> select Claremont-WPA from the list of wireless access points available on campus.
  2. Accept security certificate if requested
  3. Login with your network account name, username@scr (e.g. jdoe@scr) and your network password

Part Two: Setting Up GroupWise email using IMAP
To do this, first navigate to the setup page of your device for adding an email account.
Then, enter the following information:

Name: Fill in your full name
Address: [email protected]
Description: Scripps Groupwise
Username: enter your Scripps email username
Password: enter your Scripps email password

Incoming Mail Server
Host/Domain: imap.scrippscollege.edu
Username: enter your Scripps email username
Password: enter your Scripps email password

Outgoing Mail Server
Host/Domain : authsmtp.scrippscollege.edu
Username: enter your Scripps email username
Password: enter your Scripps email password
Use SSL: On/Yes
Authentication: password

Be sure to save. After that, test out your GroupWise email on your smart device and enjoy!
