If you haven’t heard yet, or seen the flyers posted around campus, Scripps is hosting THATcamp, which stands for The Humanities and Technology Camp, and is an unconference (a conference that avoids being top-down designed and corporate sponsored, and rather aims to be a participant driven space for open communication and discussion). The event takes place this weekend, March 15th-16th, is hosted by Professor Wernimont, and you can learn all about it here. Two of our awesome ITA’s, Alicen and Hillary will be there, and it promises to be an interesting and informative event for all.
This is a great option for people looking to get involved in technology or the humanities in a community-driven, supportive environment. So come on out, bring your ideas, and participate!
