Tip of the Week
Hello faculty! As a team, IT-FITS would love to share some tips on how to get adjusted for the new academic year.
First and foremost, as many of you have seen, Sakai has changed! With this comes a slew of questions that we are always here to answer. Some questions may include how to view and order certain sites, how to add different teachers and TA’s as site administrators, and how to copy old resource folders into new ones for Fall 2017.
This week we’ll be focusing on the first of these problems:
For Site viewing, there is a tab on the upper right-hand corner of the welcome screen that is labeled as “Sites”. Click on this, and a new window will open, filled with classes adorned with stars to the left to them. Star the classes you wish to see every day on your main page, and order them whichever way you want by pressing the three lines on to the right of the class label, and dragging them up and down.
For any other obstacles you may face, be it Sakai, working the new Box storage system, or something entirely different, just remember IT-FITS is always here to help!
