Hello faculty! For this week’s tips, IT-FITS would still focus on Sakai issues.
This week we will discuss the Forums tool on Sakai and how you can create Forums, topics, and conversations within forums.
To access the Forums tool, select Forums from the Tool Menu on Sakai. The Forums tool allows instructors or site leaders to create an unlimited number of discussion forums and is integrated closely with other tools such as Resources and Gradebook. To create a new Forum, click New Forum on the left upper corner to add a new Forum with a title. After this, there are several settings, such as posting options, availability, permissions to be confirmed. There’s a button called “Save Settings & Add Topic”, which will help you create the topic inside the new Forum post.
