Hello Faculty!
We at IT-FITS love Outlook’s amazing features that make emailing easier than ever before. However, we’ve found the Clutter function to occasionally make life a little more difficult. If that’s the case for you as well, then this tip is for you! We’ll be detailing how to turn off Clutter this week.
Clutter is an automatic service of Outlook that is used to sort low-priority messages into a separate folder. However, if you’re unaware of which emails are being sorted into the folder, you might think that your emails are going missing! Read on for a step by step guide on how to turn of Clutter’s sorting.
1. Login to your Scripps Email account at: http://login.microsoftonline.com
2. Locate the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Click the gear and then select “Options.”
3. You will be redirected to a new screen – the options page. Look for the Mail section heading and click on the word if the section is not already open. Next look for a smaller section heading, “Automatic Processing,” and if that section is not opened click on the words (Automatic Processing).
4. Click on the word, “Clutter.”
5. Click on the option, “Don’t separate items identified as clutter.”
6. Click the Save button
