[CodeLiteracy]@Scripps (merged with Scripps Women in Technology in 2015) is a group dedicated to increasing access to Computer Science education on our campus. In collaboration with the Pomona and Harvey Mudd College Computer Science Departments, we provide a variety of resources for students of all skill levels (like organizing coding workshops, holding Scripps-specific office hours, and hosting guest speakers on campus), and work to build community amongst students interested in incorporating coding into their skill sets.

Spring 2015 Leadership

Scripps College Law Society

Scripps College Law Society is a student-run organization dedicated to the examination and discussion of legal issues. The Society allows undergraduates to connect, reach out, and network with law professionals in the LA area, fellow Scripps students, and leaders in the field. The organization brings together like-minded, dedicated women to explore careers, justice, and real world legal issues. The law society helps members develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills through LSAT preparation and develop public speaking and leadership skills. Scripps College Law Society also provides members with law related events at the Claremont Colleges and throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Scripps Women in Finance Accounting and Consulting

Scripps Women in Finance Accounting and Consulting (FAC) supports Scripps students exploring finance, accounting, and consulting careers. FAC aims to provide industry-specific resources to students of all experience levels, foster a community of future business professionals, and connect students with valuable on- and off-campus networks. This shared interest group caters to students with a variety of aspirations, including wealth management, corporate finance, accounting, and investment banking. Through social and educational opportunities, such as workshops on technical interviews and coffee chats with Scripps staff, seniors, and alumnae, our group provides guidance to students transitioning from classrooms to internships and the workplace.
